How to burn your candle safely …

• trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn

• allow the wax to melt to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunnelling

• never burn for longer than 4 hours at a time

• always burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts

• keep out of reach of children and pets

• never leave a burning candle unattended

• stop burning when 1cm of wax remains

• use a candle snuffer to extinguish — never use water

• keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings and debris
